Tom
Eggert teaches classes that are jointly offered through the University
of Wisconsin-Madison Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies
and the School of Business. For the past 8 years he has taught
Environmental Strategy and Sustainability and for the last three years
has taught Ethics Values and Sustainability. He has also responded to
student demand for more information in the sustainability area with a
class called Sustainability and the Corporate Response. He has written
and spoken extensively on sustainability and on business and
government's role in promoting sustainability.
He has a Law Degree from George Washington University in Washington DC,
a Master's degree in Public Administration from the LaFollette Institute
at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an undergraduate degree in
Environmental Problems and Policies from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. He has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General
in Montana and, before that, as a Peace Corps volunteer in the
Philippines.

Marcin
Fabjanski is an award-winning journalist, a children's fiction writer,
and a philosopher. He studied philosophy at the University of York (UK)
and at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, where he was
also a lecturer. He wrote his Phd thesis on buddhism and Arthur
Schopenhauer.
Marcin worked in NY reporting for Polish press and was awarded both
Polish and American journalist awards for his feature stories. He has
traveled extensively in Asia, including India, Nepal, Thailand and
Burma. His academic interests include: ethics in contemporary world,
buddhism, comparative philosophy, metaphysics, and child psychology.

Michael
Bengwayan is a Public Service Fellow of the New York based Echoing
Green Foundation which supports social change leaders worldwide. He
has experience in agricultural research, community based forest
management, and permaculture.
Michael holds Master's degrees both in Development Studies and in Rural
Development. He holds a PhD in Environmental Science from University
College Dublin, Ireland, and is a European Union Fellow. He also holds a
Diploma in Advanced Journalism from Kalmar University, Sweden, and is a
Fellow of the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
A writer, environmentalist and eco-agriculturist, he is the author of
"The Intellectual and Cultural Property Rights of Indigenous
Peoples of Asia" and "Dam the Rivers, Damn the People."
He writes for Gemini News Service, Environmental News Service, Earth
Times, and Asia Observer. Michael is a Filipino.

Marcotte
Megan
has long been interested in ecology, especially marine ecology, and has
gained valuable experience in the cleaning of wastewater so it can be
safely returned to the ecosystem. She has previously taught at
California State University, volunteered as a Scientific Aide at Upper
Newport Bay Ecological Reserve, and worked as an Instructor for the
Shark Camp at Long Beach Maritime Foundation. Megan earned her Master of
Science degree in Biology in the USA. She is currently a PhD Candidate
in biology at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. As a biologist,
Megan has experienced first hand the need for humans to learn how to
protect the environment.

Mufandaedza
Oneas
Mufandaedza is a professional agriculturalist and educationist. He
firmly believes in the sacredness of nature, education, and training as
basic elements in sustainable living. He holds a Ph D in Crop and Animal
Science from North Carolina State University.
Oneas taught at Africa University and Zimbabwe Open University, and
Mutare Polytechnical College. He founded AgriCom and EnviroPlan Services
(Private) Limited, a consultancy specializing in small-scale farming and
business management, and two private colleges in Zimbabwe. In 2002 he
founded Eastern Region Education and Training Trust (ERETT), a
non-profit organization devoted to self-help development projects in
developing countries.
In USA, Oneas developed and taught courses in sustainable agriculture at
Central Carolina Community College. He completed an internship program
at Peacework Organic Farm in New York, and collaborates with North
Carolina State University in a biosolids research project.
Oneas is an International Labor Organization (ILO) certified Small
Business Management Trainer.

A
native of Moscow, Oleg graduated from the Pedagogical Institute in 1990
and worked as an English teacher. While working as an interpreter for
KomiArcticOil, he studied Political Science. After completing a
post-graduate degree in sociology at the Moscow State University he
worked as an economical analyst for Izvestia, a national newspaper.
Oleg joined the Moscow State University as a senior researcher, chair of
Sociology of International Relations, in 1996 and has since been
responsible for courses and workshops for Russian and foreign students.
Oleg has also been working as the head of information department for
Public Relations Company since 1999.

Tania Briceno-Orduz has been working to guide economic activity in a way
that respects collective visions of wellbeing and the ecological cycles
that sustain life. She has been specializing in sustainable consumption,
the media and consumer behavior, and the use of participatory methods to
implement sustainability initiatives. She has conducted extensive
research on the application of these issues to the design and
implementation of environmental policy and programs and has worked with
a number of related organizations and projects of global and local
scope. Currently, she is publishing an article on these subjects in the
UNEP newsletter of Sustainable Consumption and at the upcoming
International Conference of Ecological Economics in July 2004. She holds
a Masters degree in Ecological Economics from The University of Leeds
and a BA in Economics and International Development Studies from McGill
University.
